Curious what people actually recommend.
I keep seeing new learners jump straight to `nmap -A` and then:
– not knowing where their output file went
– not knowing how to `grep` open ports
– not knowing what `ss -tuln` is showing
– not knowing localhost vs a real target
I made a short flash-card "Beginner Lab Atlas" (56 commands) that covers files,
filters, pipes, DNS, and listening ports — intentionally before any nmap flags.
Is that the right order, or do you throw people into scanning day one?

Lab only: localhost / authorized targets.
