Easiest Certifications for IT

Dell Proven Professional | Client Systems Support & Troubleshooting

Shows you can repair Dell Computers and use their software.

This is a 15-Question Non-proctored exam.

The course and exam is 200$, But you can get the exam for only 100$.

It is Open Book Exam, meaning you can use "Dell's Course Materials".

However I just Google Search some of the answers in the questions for verification because I know they aren't always accurate and have you second guess.

You must understand how to repair a computer though, or you will look foolish in front of your employer.

Dell does not offer proctored computer repair exams.

Dell Proven Professional | Client Systems Deployment and Implementation

Shows that you can install and configure Operating Systems and Migrate Data

This Exam was only 12 Questions and is also unproctored and "Open Book".

You must also study what the Dell Migrate Tool is or you will not pass the assessment.

I forgot if a Service Tag was 6 or 7 characters long, so I googled that.

It's best not Google the major questions though. Understand what a Product Key even is.

CompTIA Tech+

This exam is 125$, proctored and shows that you can indentify computer components, hardware and troubleshoot them.

This is a lighter version of the CompTIA A+ Core 1 which is recommended next but requires more knowledge of Network Configuration and Printer troubleshooting. It's probably DNS anyways.

I also recommend the IBM Coursera Certificate. IBM has basically left the computer business but still recognized as a quality vendor.

CompTIA Digital Literacy shows you can also repair PCs but the mail in certificates are not possible.
