[Art] Vaeril, requested illustration :)

My client wanted a tarot style illustration of Vaeril, the drow god of Light, Redemption and Liberation. I have the feeling they requested this for their significant other's character, which is the cutest thing. He was trapped under his enemy's domain for decades until he was set free, hence the chains and angry look in his face. His enemy was a spider drow goddess and unfair ruler of the drow. Makes me think of Lolth, but I think their campaign doesn't necesarily follow the exact lore and names of DnD universe.

Anyways, I had a blast painting him and I had the oportunity to do life drawings of a muscular model, he was kind enough to pose during his workout to help me understand what's going on with the back muscles :P. My mentor also helped by pointing out small flaws in the anatomy and I love how it came out!
