Went on vacation last week. First real break in probably a year. Told myself I would keep campaigns running while I was gone but the morning I was leaving I realized nobody on my team was trained to handle replies properly and the thought of interested prospects sitting in my inbox for 5 days with no response stressed me out more than just pausing everything so I paused everything
Came back monday. Turned campaigns back on. Sent test emails to my seed accounts before going live just to make sure nothing degraded while I was gone
Every single inbox was hitting primary. Every one. Gmail outlook yahoo all primary. Which sounds normal except that before I left I had maybe 6-8 accounts that were consistently landing in promotions or spam that I had been meaning to troubleshoot but kept putting off because the campaigns were "good enough" overall
A week of rest and those problem accounts just fixed themselves. No DNS changes. No warmup adjustments. No new accounts. Just a week of silence and google apparently decided my accounts were trustworthy again
Now im sitting here wondering if the whole concept of keeping warmup running 24/7 while also sending 10-12 cold emails per day from the same accounts is actually more volume than these inboxes should be handling and if I've been slowly degrading my own deliverability for months without realizing it because the decline was gradual enough to not set off any alarms
Has anyone else experienced this? Where pulling back or pausing actually improved things? Starting to think there might be a case for rotating inboxes on and off in cycles instead of running everything constantly but I dont have enough data yet to know if this was a fluke or a real pattern
Genuinely asking not making a recommendation because I have no idea what happened and it might just be coincidence
