Internet slow on PC no matter what

Hi all,

My PC internet speeds have been incredibly slow regardless of whether I connect to the internet via the systems integrated wifi, usb adapter or ethernet.

I don’t run a VPN or anything that should limit my speeds, I don’t see anything taking up bandwidth in task manager. I’ve tried dns reset commands, uninstalling and reinstalling latest drivers, network resets and more.

Sometimes I can connect to Ookla and run a speed test and get 40-70 mbps. Sometimes I can’t connect at all and sometimes i get kbps speeds. Speeds are slow/similar with every method of connection.

I mainly play old single player games therefore speed isn’t my main concern. The problem is that sometimes i wont get a connection and cant even launch my launchers.

The issue is isolated to the PC. Speedtests on every other device (from the same location as the PC) get 100+ speeds.

MoBo and CPU are dated, which may be a contributing factor but i don’t think it should be this egregious.

I love my PC and am trying to get this working before I simply go back to console gaming and end up with an expensive paperweight.
