“Error Updating Data” after the latest MTG Arena update – anyone else?

Hi everyone,

Since the latest MTG Arena update, I keep getting “Error Updating Data” while the game is downloading the required files.

The download starts normally and manages to download some data, but after a while it stops and gives me the error. Restarting the game allows it to continue for a bit, but eventually the same thing happens again.

I've already tried pretty much everything I could think of:

• Changing DNS
• Flushing DNS and resetting network settings
• Trying a different connection/mobile hotspot
• Trying a VPN
• Deleting the Arena Downloads folder and letting the game download everything again
• Verifying the game files
• Reinstalling the game
• Trying both the Steam version and the standalone launcher
• Checking firewall/proxy settings

Unfortunately, the issue is exactly the same.

My internet connection itself seems fine and other downloads work normally. I also checked the Arena logs and it seems that some asset downloads are timing out, but I haven't been able to figure out why.

At this point I'm wondering if this could be an issue with the latest Arena update rather than something on my end.

Is anyone else currently experiencing the same “Error Updating Data” issue? If so, have you found any workaround that actually works?
