PS5 has to be restart several times before it will connect to WiFi?

Every time I try to connect, or do anything with my primary WiFi connection it will refuse to, claiming the signal is too weak, but after a few restarts it will work flawlessly until the next time I put it in rest mode. The console will connect fine to other wifis but not my primary one. I’ve tried all of the commonly mentioned hotfixes for connecting issues (changing dns, going through 2.4 and 5ghz, forgetting and re-adding the network, etc.). I don’t know what it could possibly be and I can’t find anything about this issue.
