I personally have a Pixel but my OLD father recently got this Redmi phone and it is just a bloatware Os with a sh*t ton of adware. Why tf are there ads popping up when I open the file manager??? I tried dns blocking using dns dot agduard dot com, but that didn't block the ads.
Is there any good custom ROMs that work with apps without any compatibikity issues or a way to just nuke all of those pesky apps? I heard about using two apps called shizuku and canta, but I'm not knowledgeable about them. Also, I was wondering, if I do use them (shizuku + canta) to debloat the phone, will updating the phone just bring back all those adware apps again?
The phone has a snapdragon 7 CPU btw. TIA!
