My initial answer to this question was simply Zone1, however reviewing the configuration I opt'd for Zone1 and Zone2. The logic in the answer is that Zone2 is the resolved DNS because the Inbound Endpoint is on Subnet4, while the Virtual Network is on VNet1. From my understanding a Private DNS zone exists on the VNet it is created on and that Inbound Endpoints can only exist within the same Subnet, hence my first answer Zone1. The answer presented says that the Inbound Endpoint determines the resolving VNet, so Subnet4 ends up in VNet2 which is Zone2. By that logic my wrong answer should be right… can anyone shed light on this? submitted by /u/Buruko to r/AzureCertification |
