Hey Hunters!
I'm playing Monster Hunter Wilds on PS5 and I've been dealing with the R359F-0-0-3 error when trying to play online.
The weird thing is that I can access all the online features normally. I can enter the online lobby just fine. But when I try to join an online session/hunt for the first time, I usually get the R359F-0-0-3 error and the game puts me into offline mode.
Normally, if I go back to the menu and try joining another session, it works and I can play normally. However, today the problem became persistent and now I can't join any online hunt at all.
My PS5 NAT type is Type 2.
Things I've already tried: Completely restarting the PS, Restarting the modem/router, Using an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi, Changing my DNS to Google (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)
Unfortunately, none of that fixed the problem.
I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve disabling crossplay. I'd also rather avoid making unnecessary changes to my home network/security, such as: Enabling UPnP, Manually opening/forwarding ports, Putting the PS5 in DMZ, Disabling the router firewall, Disabling IPv6, Or any other configuration that could unnecessarily expose my home network
Has anyone experienced this exact issue on PS5?
Especially the weird part where the first attempt to join a hunt gives the R359F-0-0-3 error, but trying again after going back to the menu usually works.
If anyone has found a solution without disabling crossplay and without changing the router's security/network settings, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks!
