For god’s sake, please stop celebrating mediocrity. Some of the recently released Malayalam movies are slightly above average relative to movies from other parts of India but most certainly don’t deserve the jaw dropping reactions I see on several of my feeds.
I truly believe we have had super nice movies in the past which received half as much attention for whatever reasons. If you overly celebrate mediocrity you will end up receiving only subpar content in future. This is true to any domain, be it movies, restaurants or academia to name a few.
I’m not going to name names here. If any movie names ring a bell after reading this, then that’s probably a sign.
