I travel a fair bit and I always get a bit paranoid logging into my bank on airport or hotel wifi. The apps I tried just threw a bunch of network stuff at me and I still didn't know if I should be worried or not.
So I built WiSure. You connect to the wifi, hit scan, and it gives you a score out of 100 and tells you if it's safe, caution or unsafe. It also tells you what's fine to do on it, like ok for browsing but maybe skip banking.
It checks things like encryption, DNS hijacking, whether something is intercepting your traffic, and if the router's changed since the last time you were there.
To be upfront, iOS doesn't let apps scan other networks around you or run in the background, so it only checks the one you're on when you tap scan.
Scanning is free, no limit. There's a Pro version if you want the detailed breakdown and history.
