Where domain hunters compare notes

Looking for secure, stable WordPress hosting under €50/month while keeping DNS at IONOS

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable WordPress hosting provider for my current setup.

My setup:

– Domain: adriandylanwulf.de

– Domain registrar and DNS: IONOS SE, including IONOS Anycast DNS

– Website: WordPress, currently hosted at Mittwald

– Email: Microsoft 365

– Email security gateway: Hornetsecurity in front of Microsoft 365

I would like to keep the domain at IONOS and continue managing the DNS records and nameservers there. I do not want to transfer the domain or move the nameservers unless there is a very compelling reason.

The hosting provider should support external/custom domains while allowing the DNS and nameservers to remain at IONOS.

My main priorities are:

  1. Security

  2. Stability and reliability

  3. Good WordPress performance

  4. Reliable backups and restore options

  5. CDN support would be a bonus

My budget is ideally up to €40 per month, with an absolute maximum of €50 per month. I’m mainly interested in the real long-term price, not temporary introductory offers.

I do not want to move my email away from Microsoft 365. I’m only looking for a better or more suitable hosting environment for the website.

What providers would you recommend for this setup? I would especially appreciate real-world experiences regarding:

– Security and server hardening

– Stability and uptime

– WordPress performance

– Backups and recovery

– CDN options

– Support quality

– Keeping DNS and nameservers at IONOS

– The actual monthly cost after introductory pricing

I currently use Mittwald and the website is running well, but I’m comparing alternatives and would like to hear the experiences of other customers.

One note: I used ChatGPT to help write and translate this post because my English is honestly not very good. Sorry if the wording sounds a little awkward. 🙂
