Hi everyone
I got my tuf 5 months ago and i initially played RDR2 on RedM, Fall Guys and that's it. These were my two major games but i recently got into Fortnite and since day one, when i started playing fortnite i noticed my temps would spike to 100C. (very important, SPIKES, MAX TEMPS. The avg temps are still under 80 after a long gameplay).
After running HWInfo a few times, i adjusted my fan curve on Armory Crate and also PL1 and PL2, using Claude's suggestion (i dont understand anything about computers, this is my first gaming computer, i'm having to learn on the go….). I was able to reduce MAX temps to 85-90.
Today, I decided to take the leap from Armory Crate to G-helper. I followed the mega thread instructions and i have created the following profile gaming profile for my fortnite evenings (see attachment pictures pls).
Yet, my temps are as follow after an hour(and five minutes) of game play. Clearly, not issues with GPU. As cool as it gets, but my CPU keeps hitting 97, even 99.
Also, its worth noticing that after 10 more minute throttling went from 3 to 8% (i noticed that while fortnite was finding a new server for me to play, throttling increased, and i wasn't even playing. Go figure).
Either way, game ran smooth. Just at the end, i noticed a few hiccups, and FPS dropping to 100-110 (i cap at 144 and avg is 130); No crashes at all.
Can anybody help me here? With RedM or RDR2, Fall Guys or even Forza Horizon temps dont gove over 85C.
p.s: I plan on opening my laptop for a full clean in a month or 2. I wanted to wait to complete 6 months. I have a cat and I understand a full cleaning is in order. I clean the vents from the outside but haven't opened it yet because i don't know how to do it, so i'm watching videos on youtube and making sure i feel prepared (no, i do not have an ASUS repair shop in my city or any tech shop that I trust. I live in a small town, in South America).
Also, if the average temp is 75C, i'm assuming the issue is not much dust buildup but something else. Any thoughts?
