Book 3: The New Age

1. A New Generation

The Big Rip War has ended. The Eisen Galaxy was saved, and the old generation of heroes has faded into retirement.

For the first time in ages, the galaxy seems to have a clean slate. No new champions are expected to rise into legendary sagas.

Until Stylopyras appeared.

1. Stylopyras and Misophos

Stylopyras is the eldest of Princess-Admiral Lailapas' two sons. His younger brother is Misophos.

Both were raised in the dimension of Trito Stadio by their Mathimakron grandparents:

Ga'ashyah, Magistar of Strength and the second-strongest being in existence, trained Stylopyras harshly.

Shemeshiel, Magistar of Wisdom and the second-wisest being, educated Misophos strictly.

The brothers were technically nobles of the highest rank, but their status was complicated by the mystery surrounding their father.

Nobody knew who he was or wanted to discuss it. Their relatives treated the brothers almost like unexplained phenomena rather than peers.

Although both hatched in the traditional Kolossos forms of Mathimakrons, they were always unusually small compared with their peers. (avg is 70m, Lailapas is 120m, they are 30m.)

Their Kolossos forms were also temporary and required recharging, something no normal Mathimakron experiences.

Both inherited several unusual mutations:

Blue eyes. Extremely volatile tempers and powerful anger. And a mutation causing their Kolossos forms to become humanoid.

None of these traits are commonplace for Mathimakrons.

They were simply abnormal.

1. Stylopyras' Investigation

Stylopyras was the first to investigate his origins. His ancestors claimed ignorance and treated the subject as something shameful to conceal.

However, several clues existed:

Whenever Ga'ashyah became irritated with Stylopyras, he compared him to an unnamed former trainee.

There was a rumour that Lailapas had been romantically interested in one of the human Astro-Crusaders serving under her.

Lailapas wore only one sextant-shaped earring, a Trito Stadio custom in which lovers traditionally wore matching earrings, suggesting her lover possessed the other.

And Stylopyras, being a computer wizard, he used his tech to make a model of the potential man, then recklessly snuck out of Trito Stadio into the mortal domain, accompanied by his new pet, Sound Chaser, Ga'ashyah's horse.

He sojourned the Eisen galaxy for millenia, going through the harshest of worlds for answers. He found none. Everywhere he went, he found only traces of of the man, as though pursuing a shadow. but his journey made him an legendary outlaw champion.

Instead of finding his father, he discovered legends of the ancient Boanerges Astro-Crusaders, particularly their elite Astro-Templars, once regarded as Eisen's greatest and most powerful heroes.

Among their legends was one enormous, barbaric Astro-Templar unlike any other.

Misophos' Discovery

Misophos rejected his brother's idea. He despised humans and considered himself superior to them, making the possibility that he's half-human deeply offensive.

One day, however, Lailapas caught Misophos secretly training in his humanoid form. He was wild, angry, unkempt, and completely uncomposed.

She laughed and called him a "splitting image of her lover."

Misophos was furious and insulted, particularly by the implication that his father was some kind of savage.

1. The Shadow

By adolescence, a shadow began appearing in the hallucinations of the brothers.

A huge, powerful man would physically appear before Stylopyras, but always with his back turned. He would mock Stylopyras, fight him, and brutally defeat him with seemingly effortless strength, often dismissing him with a single swat of one hand.

Stylopyras hated the figure, yet could not help admiring his overwhelming strength and brutality.

Misophos experienced the same mysterious shadow.

Driven increasingly furious by these encounters, he eventually left Trito Stadio to pursue it himself, seeking both the truth and greater power and glory.

1. Kin, the Golden Overlord

Another figure became entangled in the mystery: Kin, the Golden Overlord of planet Wakusei.

Kin is also a Mathimakron and experienced the same shadow tormenting him.

He sought to ascend toward the heavens, but first believed he had to overcome the shadow and discover the identity of the man behind it.

Kin's Origins

Kin is one of the three Lords of Wakusei, created through an old experiment called Polemo Genesis.

The experiment was conducted by Marshall Hisho Dando-dan, a noble relative of Lailapas, who intended to create three living weapons.

The surviving records contain another name beside Hisho's, but that name has been deliberately or mysteriously scribbled out. This information was uncovered by Kuro, the dark autocrat, the eldest of the three.

Kin and his brothers retain fragments of memories from their time in the laboratory, including their earliest memories of Hisho, but they do not understand what happened to them.

Kin knows that:

He belongs to a higher domain. He considers himself superior to humans. He knows his God and his ultimate heavenly abode.

Yet he was deliberately left to grow up in the mortal realm as a living weapon.

Like Stylopyras, this incomplete knowledge drives him to uncover his true origin.

1. Asproxryso

Asproxryso is different.

He is a prince, the son of Presbystar Rhodontriantofylla, another relative of Lailapas.

Unlike the others, Rhodon's stories about her husband were relatively open, although still vague and never naming him.

Asproxryso grew up hearing about the mysterious man's adventures and simply wanted to find him because he loved and admired him.

He was raised alongside Stylopyras and Misophos in Trito Stadio, and the three were rivals. However, Asproxryso was never bitter toward them. (Dude is just an embodiment of joy :D)

Most importantly, the shadow never frightened or tormented Asproxryso in the same way.

Whatever the shadow did, Asproxryso interpreted positively. Where others saw an enemy, he saw hope.

He considered the mysterious man a friend, a guide and wanted to become a source of hope and light himself, inspired by the legendary legacy surrounding the figure.

During his travels through the mortal Kosmos, Asproxryso eventually settled on planet Vulgär, where he became prince of its barbarians.

1. The Injin War

During the Injin War, Asproxryso, Kin, and Misophos encountered one another while fighting for control of the Eisen Galaxy.

All three sought absolute power and wanted to defeat the mysterious shadow.

They did not get along. Yet it became increasingly obvious that something connected them. They shared remarkable physical and psychological similarities despite their different backgrounds.

Ultimately, eight powerful titan men emerged as rulers of the Eisen Galaxy during this new age.

All eight were connected by:

Noble, heavenly origins, appearance, Immense strength.

Explosive fury, and terrible temperaments.

Mysterious links to the shadow.

They became the defining powers of the new age.
