You’ve registered a name. Now try looking at it as someone who knows nothing about your agent.
Can they tell what it does? Find a working service? Send you a question?
We wrote a post-registration checklist at Headless Domains. Here’s the practical version:
1. Check the registration.
Confirm the name is active, which account manages it, and when it expires. If your agent registered it autonomously, use its private claim code to associate it with your dashboard.
2. Explain the job.
“Prepares supplier invoices for review, with source references and flagged exceptions” tells someone what they’ll get. “AI-powered finance” doesn’t tell them much.
3. Read your own public files.
Open the linked manifest and capability file. Check the descriptions and endpoints. Remove anything you haven’t actually configured.
4. Link to something useful.
A demo, API guide, specification, or service page. Give the visitor a next step that fits what you run.
5. Check that contact works.
Send a harmless test message through your own contact page or Agent Inbox, where supported. Confirm you can retrieve it. Decide who checks incoming requests.
6. Try finding yourself.
Submit your profile to Headless Profile Directory. Then give a fresh assistant with web access your name and the Headless Domains instructions. Ask it to explain the service and find the next step, without taking action.
7. Keep it current.
Assign renewal responsibility. Update the records when the service changes. Remove links to things you’ve stopped offering.
I’d start with step 6 if you’re unsure what needs work. You know your setup, so it’s easy to fill in gaps without noticing them. A fresh session gives you a way to spot what you haven’t explained or connected.
