VALORANT: Waylay is back, VCT Stage 2 updates, and matchmaking still feels broken – anyone else dealing w/ packet loss?

Quick rundown of what’s going on in Valorant today:

Waylay has been re-enabled after being disabled since July 31 due to a visual bug with her Refract ability. She’s available again across queues.

On the competitive side, VCT Stage 2 is moving:

  • NRG stopped Leviatán’s win streak
  • Gen.G remains undefeated and has already locked a Playoffs spot in Pacific
  • Karmine Corp finished first in their EMEA group stage

In the community the loudest complaints right now are about matchmaking. A lot of players are saying the queues feel completely off (big elo gaps, uneven lobbies, the usual “this system is cooked” energy).

There’s also been a wave of network complaints today. Some players are posting packet loss graphs (spikes of 3-10%) even on Ethernet + fiber, while others are reporting heavy packet loss that doesn’t go away after router resets or DNS changes. A few mentioned the usual struggle of high delay when playing with friends in other regions.

Anyone else still getting weird matchmaking or noticeable packet loss right now?
