I recently shipped MapMyCareer (https://www.mapmycareer.online/), an interactive web app that maps 1,450+ verified tech job openings directly onto physical office towers and tech parks. Tech stack & architecture: - Frontend: Next.js 16 (App Router) + React 19 + TypeScript - Styling: Tailwind CSS v4 - Map Engine: Leaflet.js with dynamic marker clustering and custom geo-coordinates - Data Pipeline: Offline Python ingestion script resolving campus coordinates, validating live career endpoints, and exporting an optimized static JSON bundle for instant hydration without database bottlenecks. - Client-Side Parsing: Integrated heuristic parsers (pdfjs-dist, mammoth) for browser-only ATS document scoring (evaluates XYZ impact formulas, power verb density, and layout heuristics). - API Route: Next.js edge route executing DNS/MX lookups to verify email domain deliverability for cold outreach. Challenges faced: 1. Marker clustering performance when rendering dense office tech parks (e.g. Bangalore ORR and DLF Cyber City). 2. Client-side PDF parsing reliability across varied layouts without depending on external OCR / LLM APIs.
