I have a Dell 5070 SFF PC with Windows 11 which I bought only a couple of weeks ago. The wifi was working perfectly up until August 25 when a couple of automatic Windows updates were installed, then it stopped working and I got the 'Password is incorrect' message when trying to connect the wifi.
I tried absolutely absolutely everything I could find online to fix it, but nothing worked.
– Forgetting the Wifi network – there was no network showing to forget
– Performed a network reset
– Restarted the router
– Uninstalled and re-installied the wifi adapter and drivers
– Tried various recommended command line prompts like flushing the dns and resetting the network
Eventually I tried uninstalling the last two Windows updates and it worked!
Of course, the problem now is that the updates install again every time I switch off the machine so I'm back to square one.
Is there any way to stop the updates re-installing? I'm assuming I can't, and I assume that doing that wouldn't really be advisable, but it's the only way I've been able to connect.
The other PC's in the house can get online perfectly.
Help!!
