Blocked my internet access

Normally when something goes wrong, I suspect Norton.

I was away on vacation and left my laptop on. Norton must’ve made an update, because when I got back I couldn’t access the internet. I was connected, but I couldn’t open any web pages and kept getting a DNS error.

I thought disabling the antivirus would fix it, but it didn’t.I went down a rabbit hole of AI suggestions before finally calling a professional. They ran a diagnostic and found Norton was interfering with everything. Once they uninstalled it, everything started working again. If you’re in the same situation, try uninstalling Norton first.

It’s becoming more trouble than it’s worth.
