We've been running Zapmail across 8 client acc for 90 days. First month was warmup, month two was step up volume and month three is where we have real sending data to speak to.
What works:
The main reason we use Zapmail is because it simplifies DNS setup. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are automatically handled during provisioning. We're an agency managing DNS across 10+ client domains and one misconfigured record can tank deliverability across an entire account before you even know something is wrong, and by the time a client flags low reply rates the damage is already done.
Provisioning speed is fast. New domain to send was ready in under 20 minutes. We got full Google Workspace admin console per account, meaning we can see every user, every mailbox, every domain. Cheaper providers don't give you this because they're stacking hundreds of users in one Workspace.
Zapmail also covers Microsoft 365 mailboxes not just Google Workspace so provider matching isn't a limitation here like it is with some other tools.
Pricing scales well. The per-mailbox model gets cheaper as you add volume. If you're running campaigns across multiple clients simultaneously it undercuts the per-seat model of most alternatives though theyre not the cheapest option out there. What you're paying for is reliability and that's shown up consistently over 90 days.
Support has actually been one of the strongest parts of the experience. There are a lot of Workspace providers out there but when something goes sideways at 4pm on a Friday having someone respond fast is what matters and that's where Zapmail has stood out for us.
What to watch:
Don't ramp too fast. We saw deliverability soften on two accounts where clients pushed volume hard in week one of real sending. 20 to 30 warmup emails per inbox per day maximum through the step-up phase. Not a Zapmail issue specifically, but worth stating.
Overall: It's not the cheapest option we've tested but it's the most reliable one for DNS automation and clean provisioning at agency scale.
