Hi everyone!
I’ve been working on an open-source project called DockRoute, and I’d love to get some feedback from the Cloudflare community.
The idea came from managing self-hosted applications with Docker Compose.
Every new service meant manually creating DNS records, configuring Cloudflare Tunnels when needed, and keeping everything in sync.
So I started building DockRoute.
The goal is to bring an ExternalDNS-like experience to Docker Compose using simple Docker labels. It automatically manages Cloudflare DNS records and Cloudflare Tunnel routes based on your containers.
It’s still in an early stage, so I’m looking for honest technical feedback.
Some questions I’d love your thoughts on:
Does this solve a problem you’ve experienced?
Is the label-based approach the right API?
What features would you expect before using something like this?
Are there existing tools I should learn from?
GitHub: https://github.com/Dockroute/Dockroute
I’d really appreciate any feedback, feature requests, or criticism. Thanks!
