built a 3d billboard auction, also giving away 2 free spots if anyone wants to poke around

so outbid has been all over my x feed for weeks and i finally just went and built my own version of it

it's a 3d city (bidboard.xyz) where every billboard is up for auction, bid higher than whoever's holding it and you take their spot instantly, name/banner/link and all. real payments, not a demo

45 mins after i posted it: 100+ people showed up, a few spots got claimed, made $15 total lol. tiny number i know but it's real money from strangers i've never met which still feels wild

built it solo, mostly vibe coded. the fun stuff came together fast, the annoying stuff (dns, a mac silently breaking my deploy by renaming a folder, security rules rejecting my own bids) ate way more time than the actual 3d city did

also just added 2 free spots, no bidding, no payment, if anyone here wants to just try it without spending anything
