Ps2 online games on ps3

Hey guys

I wanna play some ps2 games which has multiplayer like resident evil outbreak and I wanma play it on my console and it is fat L series

I just wanna know it is possible to set a dns and join community servers and play or not? Cause I heard it is just available in BC ps3 and mine is not BC but I can still play ps3 games via iso file so that's why I ask is it possibke to play online or if not is there any app that can make it happen?
