Shopify Scammer says my domain isn’t registered in Google Search Console

If you have a domain and the web dev or SEO shows you a screen from their computer giving them an error about domain verification failure, this is a scam. Only the owner of a domain can verify it, or the person handling your domain (if you have someone doing it for you). You need access to the files on the website server or access to the domain's nameserver (DNS) to register a domain with Google, so any outsider claiming that your domain can't be registered and showing you an error screen in Search Console is trying to scam you.
