I’d never deployed a backend in my life. Last night I shipped a pay-to-rank pet war with live Stripe payments in 8 hours. My dog is currently the Supreme Pet of the Internet.

Saw outbid.lol blow up and everyone saying “it’s 3 hours of work.” Challenge accepted — except I’m not a developer, so it took 8, including a DNS war with my registrar, a Stripe sandbox that scared me at midnight, and one production bug I only caught because I refused to seed the board with fake entries.

The result: pawwars.lol — Cats vs Dogs, the eternal war settled in dollars. Every dollar bid counts as territory for your species, the top pet holds the throne, and rank is the bid, nothing else. No prizes, no chance, pure vanity warfare.

Stack for the curious: static frontend on Netlify, Cloudflare Worker + KV backend, Stripe Checkout with webhook verification. Every entry on the board is a real payment — I wiped my own test data on principle before going live.
My dog Maple currently rules the entire internet for $5. She has no challengers. This is both a flex and a cry for help.
