Hi, in my home setup I used a RB 2011 for many years. This evening I updated the software, it never went back up and when I tried to reset it I saw smoke from the board (probably there were other issues beside the firmware upgrade…)
Anyway, I need to replace it since my home network is currently almost down. I can temporarily use something else, but I need those features…
Particularly, I need 8-10 gigabit ports (but I can also use an external switch) , I don't need wireless (I have separate devices) , I use the dynamic DNS built in and OpenVPN.
I want the mikrotik flexibility, but in the end it's just an home network, I don't need anything special…
Suggestions?
