I've been using metamask on opera gx for a few months without issue, then one browser restart today and it stopped working, won't even open.
On top of that, any time I go to metamask io it redirects me to the .com website that asks for my email and secret phrase alongside my browser flagging it (obviously).
It's doing it regardless of browser or internet source. I switched my DNS to manual (google) and still have the same issue. So either it's on metamask's end, or I need to start panicking.
Anyone here who can explain things?
Edit: Thanks for the helpful comments. I finally managed to get an extension popup from metamask.com that's not asking for a secret key, just the password. I quickly pasted the chrome-extension://gibberish to a couple AIs and had them check if it's safe, apparently it's the official Chrome Web Store ID for MetaMask so I felt safe entering my pass on it and got access. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake.
All that's left is the extension itself not opening and my browser going ballistic every time I go on metamask.com
