I need someone who knows about software and ram stuff for my laptop

Hello guys this is my laptop and I can't run modded Minecraft especially when discord is open like at all so at first I was thinking of going from 16gb (8gb*8gb) to 24gb (16gb*8gb) but everyone said don't do it even if the speed and the voltage are the same so I decided not to but now my friend told me why not switch to Linux and I really don't know much about software and stuff and after seeing that Linux doesn't have every game I am really lost plus people say Linux is hard and not good for laptops
