I've been using Blokada Cloud for about a month, and I wanted to see how well it worked at my local Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. The store has a robust WiFi. To get connected, you have to click on a web page and agree to their terms: pretty standard stuff.
Once I got connected, one message said, "Connected, cannot provide Internet", and another message said, "Cannot access private DNS".
*This is not Blokada's fault!* To actually access the Internet, I had to turn off my private DNS in the network settings of my Android. Since I still wanted to block ads and trackers, I quickly downloaded and installed Blokada 4 from their GitHub.
Blokada 4 doesn't encrypt your DNS, so I thought the shop's WiFi would respect my choice of using Cloudflare as my DNS. However, after performing a leak test, the results showed that I was using Cisco's OpenDNS.
