I have a spitz dog aged 7 years. She was recently diagnosed with pyometra and had her surgery the same day. The ultrasound also showed hepatomegaly (enlarged liver) and blood tests revealed mildly increased creatinine and urea levels. Ever since the surgery (full two days when posting) she has not taken any food, drinking very little water and throwing up yellow sticky liquid kinda every 2 hours. She is currently on IV drips of RL and DNS.
Is it normal? Should i continue the same medications and IV? Any other thing that i need to take care of?
