Yesterday, I downloaded the game to play it with my friends, and everything worked perfectly. There were no bugs when hosting or connecting to a game.
However, today, when I tried to host, I got the black screen. I couldn't get rid of it no matter what I tried. I tried changing my DNS, using a VPN, resetting all my network settings, reinstalling/updating drivers, optimizations, and pretty much anything you could think of, but nothing worked.
Eventually, I checked the game's plugins on the folder Big Walk\Big Walk_Data\Plugins\x86_64 and noticed that one of them had a .of extension instead of .dll. So I copied it and renamed the extension of the copy to .dll (I've attached a picture of what it looked like afterward).
And it worked. I was able to host without any problems, and the black screen hasn't appeared again.
Hope this works for anyone thats dealing with this problem.
