What sort of work do DN’s do to stay afloat?

Met quite a few people doing ESL work, especially from Britain and the USA, but the trade-off seems to be low-ish incomes in the gig-economy.

Is working as a freelancer and/or in the gig-economy just something that DN's have come to accept?

What are newbies to DN'ing doing and how are you finding it?

Have you got a job or are you living on savings and still looking?
