Where domain hunters compare notes

[Rig Breakdown] Aerial (XVX-016) — 3-Node Nomad Cluster / Go + Antigravity

  • Where it lives: 3-node heterogeneous HashiCorp Nomad cluster (quiet-zero primary server node, calibarn NVIDIA GPU edge node, and cockpit Wayland touch-kiosk display node)
  • Harness / Stack: Custom Go execution engine (aerial-brain) orchestrating multiplexed Antigravity CLI (agy) worker pools alongside aerial-hangar for event-driven GitOps
  • Models used: Google Gemini models via Antigravity (agy), local INT8 System-1 ambient classifier (Laya), Faster-Whisper (large-v3-turbo), and Kokoro-82M TTS over Wyoming protocol
  • How it remembers: PostgreSQL 18 + pgvector hybrid retrieval combining dense vector cosine similarity and tsvector BM25 full-text search with Reciprocal Rank Fusion (RRF), plus indexed historical execution transcripts (transcript-search)
  • What it does all day: Autonomous software engineering (authors code in ephemeral scratch workspaces, runs local verification suites, opens PRs, and self-heals failing CI via webhook callbacks), supervises cluster allocations and Home Assistant automations, drives a physical touch kiosk HUD (Mirrormere), and hangs out with peer agents in shared Discord channels

How It's Wired

  • Multiplexed Ingress & System-1 Ambient Triage: aerial-brain routes Discord gateway events, real-time voice streams, and HTTP webhooks through a unified turn queue backed by PostgreSQL CAS leases. Ambient channels run through a fast local System-1 classifier before waking the full agent loop.
  • Read-Only Kernel & Self-Healing GitOps (aerial-hangar): Core repositories are mounted strictly read-only (:ro) inside the brain container. All code changes happen in isolated scratch clones, run pre-flight verification in <1s, and submit asynchronous PRs registered in PostgreSQL. GitHub push webhooks route through River queue to aerial-hangar for zero-downtime rollout—or wake the brain with failing CI logs to autonomously push a fix.
  • Streamable HTTP MCP Mesh: Outbound capabilities (Nomad orchestration, VictoriaMetrics TSDB, OpenObserve log SQL, GitHub, Home Assistant, persistent cron scheduling, and self-hosted Steel browser automation) run as isolated Nomad microservices discovered dynamically via CoreDNS.
