Where domain hunters compare notes

I built an API that tells you which blocklist flagged an IP or domain, with a link to each source

Hi all, I've been building Senapati, a reputation API for IP addresses, domains, URLs and email addresses.

The problem I kept hitting: an IP or domain gets blocked somewhere, and the answer to "why?" is spread across dozens of blocklists with different formats. A single risk score doesn't help when you need to know who to ask for delisting.

What it does:

  • One call checks an indicator against public blocklist feeds, DNS blocklists and threat-intel engines, and returns every engine's verdict with a link to its source.
  • IP lookups add geolocation, ASN, and proxy, VPN, Tor and hosting flags.
  • The dashboard keeps a listing history, so you can see when an address was first and last listed.
  • You're only charged for answers. A failed or rate-limited lookup costs nothing.

You can try a lookup at senapati.io/tools, no account needed. The API has a free plan with 100 credits a month.

I'd love feedback on two things: which blocklists you rely on that I should add, and what's missing from the response.
