I recently moved back to China after being in the US, and Muse is no longer working for me.
I’m connecting through a VPN with a US node selected, but I still can’t use Muse normally. It may be related to region/account checks, browser cookies, DNS leaks, or the VPN IP being flagged.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Connected to a US VPN server before opening Muse
- Confirmed the VPN is active
- Tried reopening the app/website
- Still getting blocked or unable to use it normally
A few questions:
- Does Muse only check the IP address, or does it also use Meta account region, app store country, payment method, device location, or browser cookies?
- Would clearing Muse/site cookies and cache help after switching VPN nodes?
- Are certain types of US IPs more reliable than others, such as residential IPs versus datacenter IPs?
- Is there anything else I should check, such as DNS/WebRTC leaks, browser language/timezone, or account region settings?
- If my existing account is already region-flagged, is creating a new Meta account the only realistic option?
Any advice or working setups would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
