My PC chat doesn’t work. It did 3 years ago. Tried everything! Help!

My chat worked for 300hrs, 3 years ago, but since returning a few weeks back, it doesn't. I've researched loads but can't find a solution.

I don't see other people's messages.

When I type in the chat and hit enter, nothing displays. Although sometimes it does – rarely.

I've disabled my VPN network adapter (I don't have VPN on anyway when gaming). The app is closed.

I've changed DNS to Google and cloudflare: 8.8.8.8 and also 1.1.1.1

I've flushed DNS in CMD.

I've tried with no mods.

I've tried deleting app data and verifying game files (Xbox games).

Has anyone else had this issue? I would really like to have it fixed!
