I work in the cybersecurity industry and I'm also a dad, and because of this I've created an app to monitor all the traffic going out of your phone and block traffic you don't want. Its basically a firewall where you can block traffic traffic by app domain, ip and you can use public lists like HageZi. Also you can set rules to allow/block traffic based in schedules.
The idea behind this is because the lack of traffic visibility in android(Not just from Google but any app), you install an app and you dont know where is cominicating to, also im worried about what my kids can watch or not.
The app uses a local vpn to inspect the traffic metadata and dns queries, in does not decrypt the traffic. There is no ads, no externat communications, everything stays in tour phone. Also you can enable parental controls so your kinds cant disable the protection.
Right now is in testing in google play,(ironic) and I really appreciate any feedback, just join the group, accept participating in the beta program and download the app.
