You use basic AI tools and set up a simple 3 page website for a local service in a small town (like tree trimming, pool maintenance, or concrete repair) for around $10, rank it on local Google search, and then rent the incoming customer phone calls to a local contractor for $500 to $1,500 every single month.
You're spending maybe $10 on a domain name and an afternoon setting up the site, and once it ranks, it turns into a digital asset that pays you month after month.
Local contractors are usually great at their trade, but TERRIBLE at digital marketing. You're basically solving their single biggest headache getting warm customer without requiring them to learn ads or marketing.
You don’t just cold call contractors trying to pitch an empty website. You just let the site rank organically, collect the first 3 or 4 customer phone calls or quote requests, and forward those leads to a local business FOR FREE.
Once they close thousands of dollars in real jobs from your free samples, you just follow up and say:
"Hey, hope those jobs went great! I have more calls coming through this week. If you want to have this site exclusively for your business, we send all incoming calls to you for $500/month."
They mostly say yes because you've already made them money upfront.
Im currently trying to build like a small portfolio of 5 of these sites across different cities and categories, since individual sites only bring in a few calls a month, I suppose that by having a few of them I can create a stream of recurring monthly income.
Im doing this with a floor polishing guy and the only regret I currently have is the fact that I rented him the site for a flat price each month, whereas if I would’ve agreed on revenue share per completed job more money could’ve been made since he’s getting steady work and charges per room. (Something to think about if you end up trying this out too)
Curious to know if anyone has dabbled in this sort of thing? I can go more into detail on essentially how to even start getting leads just not trying to bore anyone with the technical jargon.
