I opened a WhatsApp Click-to-Chat link on the official api.whatsapp.com domain. Immediately afterward, WhatsApp logged me out.
I logged back in using my number, but my profile name, email address, and passkey had all been removed or reset. I added them again and enabled two-step verification.
I checked Linked Devices, but no unknown devices were listed. I also did not share any verification code with anyone.
Has anyone experienced this before? Could this have been an account-takeover attempt, or is it possibly a WhatsApp bug? Is there anything else I should check to confirm that my account and iPhone are secure?
