Where domain hunters compare notes

How should I interpret Xtrusio’s visibility scores, mentions and citations?

Read visibility as how often your brand appears in the usable answers being measured, not as an overall grade for your business. A mention, a cited page and a recommendation are different outcomes.

Official Xtrusio FAQ, part 3.

  1. Check the scope before the percentage

In Report, check the questions, engines, filters and scan selection first. This example shows 114 questions, six engines and two merged scans. It uses historical August 2026 data, captured on September 27, not a claim about today's rankings.

  1. Visibility and share of voice count different things

Visibility counts usable question-and-engine answers that mention your company. Share of voice counts your company's entries in extracted vendor lists relative to all vendor entries. Repeating a name in prose is not the same as another vendor entry.

For a hypothetical example, appearing in 8 of 20 usable answers gives 40% visibility. If those answers contain 32 vendor entries and 8 are yours, share of voice is 25%. Neither figure is a traffic or conversion rate.

Failed answers are not automatically evidence that your brand was absent. Check usable coverage before comparing percentages. A composite score is also a separate measure, not another name for visibility.

  1. Read citations separately

The Citations panel shows source domains used in the measured answers. A domain's presence does not mean the assistant recommended its company. Your name can appear without a link, and a page can be cited without the brand being named.

The screenshot below is the domain summary, not proof of which exact page supports a particular claim. For that, inspect the individual answer and its source URLs.

  1. Compare like with like

Before calling a change an improvement, compare the same questions and engines with similar usable coverage. Read the answer's wording as well as its numbers: being listed as an option is different from being recommended for a specific buyer.

These screenshots show Xtrusio's own workspace, not a customer result or a promise of future visibility.
