My pc has been having a weird problem the last few months. It will randomly disconnect from the internet while gaming I’ve mostly noticed it on league of legends but I’ve seen it on other games as well. When playing I’ll lose internet but will still see everyone moving as normal and things happening as expected I just lose my ability to do any inputs for about 10 seconds before it disconnects me completely. If I’m in discord with friends I’ll still be able to hear them the entire time but same as in game they will not be able to hear me. Typically a quick unplug of the Ethernet wire and plugging it back in fixes the issue and I’m reconnecting almost instantly.
Things I’ve tried so far to fix it I’ve tried a new dns servers. I bought a separate Ethernet card and attempted to use that. I updated the bios on the board and reinstalled windows/ drivers. I tried to use the internal WiFi card and had the same issue with the same fix but just reconnecting to the WiFi instead of unplugging the Ethernet cable.
I’m sure I’ve tried more but as this has been a 1-2 month sporadic problem I can’t recall everything I’ve tried.
From everything I’ve seen I don’t believe it’s my network my brother has a gaming system on the same network with no issues and I’ve never had an issue on laptops or phones etc it seems to be isolated to just this one system. At this point I’m running out of options to try and I’m just hoping someone might be able to help me and I don’t have to go drop money on a new system during this sad time of ram prices.
Major specs are
Mobo Asus Maximus XII hero.
CPU i9 10850k
32gbs of ram
Gpu 3090 evga
Added a TP link 10gb network adapter to try and fix the issue.
