First, I want to apologize for the issues with the previous update. I know some of you experienced problems with servers, buffering, extensions, and other parts of the app. Thank you to everyone who reported these issues and remained patient while they were being worked on.

I really appreciate everyone who continues to test AniWings, report problems, and share feedback. It helps make each update better.

With that said, AniWings Mobile v1.2.1 and Android TV v1.2.3 are now available.

A lot has been reworked in this release — from the UI and servers to extensions, profiles, metadata providers, support options, and the way Android TV login works.

What’s been added recently:

📱 Android Mobile v1.2.1

• Completely Reworked UI: The interface has been redesigned with several layout and design improvements throughout the app.
• Server & Buffering Fixes: Fixed several server issues and worked on reducing buffering during playback.
• 2 More Servers: Added two additional server options for more playback choices.
• Extensions Fixed: The extension system has been reworked and should now be available for everyone to use.
• Profile Customization: Added more options to customize your AniWings profile.
• Support Page: Added a dedicated Support page for anyone who would like to help with the ongoing maintenance of AniWings. One option is to watch an optional ad, which provides a small way to support the app. This is completely voluntary and is never required to use AniWings or its features. Simply using the app, reporting bugs, and sharing feedback already helps a lot, so please don’t feel any pressure to use the support option.
• Help Page: Added an in-app Help section with information and guidance on using AniWings and its features.
• Email Support: You can now reach out through email if you need help with the app.
• More Metadata Providers: Added Kitsu and AniDB alongside MyAnimeList and AniList.
• Provider Customization: Metadata/provider selection is now more customizable, giving users more control over which providers they want to use.
• More Open & Customizable: AniWings is moving toward a more open and user-controlled approach, especially with extensions and provider customization.
• Bug Fixes: Fixed various issues and made additional performance and stability improvements.

📺 Android TV v1.2.3

• Improved TV UI: Further optimized the Android TV interface with additional design changes.
• QR Code Login: You can now log in to Android TV through the AniWings mobile app by scanning a QR code, making login much easier without typing everything using a remote.
• Fire TV & NVIDIA SHIELD Support: Continued improving compatibility and optimization for these devices.
• HDR Improvements: Improved HDR support and fixed color-correction issues on compatible TVs and content.
• Server Fixes: Fixed server-related issues for more reliable playback.
• Better Optimization: Improved navigation, performance, and overall TV stability.
• Bug Fixes: Fixed several smaller issues reported in the previous TV release.

⚠️ Important Installation Note

Because this update includes major internal changes, please uninstall/delete your existing AniWings app before installing the new version.

A normal update over the previous version may cause compatibility issues or prevent some of the new features from working correctly.

For the best experience:

Uninstall the old AniWings version → Download the latest version → Install it as a fresh installation.

This applies to both Mobile v1.2.1 and Android TV v1.2.3.
