I’m an IT Engineer from Algeria currently working in the private sector, and I’m looking for opportunities to work in Qatar.
I have around 3 years of professional IT experience, with hands-on experience in:
- IT infrastructure and technical support
- Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS & DHCP
- Network administration and troubleshooting
- Firewalls and network security (pfSense, Sophos)
- Proxmox virtualization and server administration
- Linux
- Odoo / ERP administration
- Managing IT infrastructure and supporting a small technical team
I hold a Master’s degree in Networks & Telecommunications and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications.
I’m mainly interested in positions such as:
IT Engineer | Network Engineer | Systems Administrator | Network & Systems Engineer | IT Infrastructure Engineer | IT Support Engineer
I’m currently based in Algeria, so I’m particularly interested in understanding how realistic it is to find an IT position in Qatar while applying from abroad.
If you work in Qatar or have experience relocating there for an IT job, I’d really appreciate your advice:
- Which job websites or recruitment agencies are actually useful?
- Is applying from abroad realistic?
- Are there companies currently hiring IT Engineers or IT Support / Network & Systems Engineers?
- What skills or certifications are most valuable for the Qatar market?
- Is there anything I should improve in my CV before applying?
