My mom has been in the resume writing/career coaching business for almost 20 years. Revenue had been dwindling these last few years, probably due to the rise of AI. She had a website set up by a dev a decade ago on some archaic wordpress platform.
She had been using the claude app to manage updating it with the Claude extension, but it wasn't helping much.
I came home, decided we were going to move her off of that, got her a github and vercel account, and rebuilt the entire site in next.js in just a few hours with claude. Downloaded a couple seo skills from skills.sh, integrated some cool components from skiper-ui (check out the people moving across the screen), integrated Calendly for booking appointments. She made a bunch of changes herself, and then we moved over the DNS. Now she manages the site entirely by herself (well, with Claude's help!).
Her revenue has quadrupled in the last 2 months due to increased conversion and bookings.

Of all the people who i've tried to convince to embrace AI tools, my mom is the one who's listened most!

Alright, so the general vibe in this thread is major props to you and your mom! Everyone's pretty impressed with how you leveraged Claude to completely revamp her business website and the resulting quadrupled revenue is the real MVP.
A lot of folks are also commenting on how amazing your mom looks for 70 – seriously, the comments section is a bit of a thirst trap for her. 😂
There's a bit of a side discussion about the "glow-up" of the website itself, with most agreeing it's a massive improvement. One user, u/Mescallan, even shared a similar success story with their wife's tour company, which is pretty cool.
A couple of users, like u/JobWhisperer_Yoda, are curious about the specific SEO skills you integrated.
There were a few dissenting voices, like u/SeriousAardvark6186, who argued that AI-generated sites might lose trust compared to older platforms, but that sentiment didn't really gain traction. And then there's u/Lanky-Objective4417, who chimed in with some technical advice about Claude's editing habits and how to preserve mom's edits, which is actually pretty useful if you're deep-diving into this stuff.
