A few months ago I set up a Google Workspace account. Signed up through google, paid for the domain for the year through google, started designing a google site. It took me a couples weeks to get the site finished and published… INSERT ISSUES.
Going to the website, at first I was getting errors stating that my trial had ended. It would automatically redirect me to Squarespace, in which I apparently had a 2 week trial. I'm not sure how that even happened as I purchased everything from Google Workspace. I did some research and learned that they partner together, where Squarespace "holds" the domain? But I'm beyond confused as Google Workspace is both the domain holder and host – even according to Squarespace settings. I did some more research and learned that I can completely bypass Squarespace (and avoid yet another subscription) by editing the DNS settings. I tried… a ridiculous amount of times to fix it and I just cannot figure it out. I've tried YT videos, AI chat bots, google forums (as there's no actual way to get help)… so here I am. Asking you amazing strangers for assistance. Please help!
