I bought a used PS5 phat disc edition earlier today and it is on 13.40 currently. I know the consensus is to never update but would it be better to be on 13.60? I also have a PiHole DNS server running at home where I blocked any access to Sony servers for both PS4 and PS5 and I turned off auto download and auto update on the PS5 also.
I also read some posts here saying that FPKG is coming for firmwares up to 13.60 but I also found other posts claiming that FPKGs can brick your console? I don't want to risk a brick so is it more safe to download games in LZ4 format and keep them on an nvme usb drive?
