New here, I can’t get a container to work, can someone help?

Hi, new to proxmox and homelabbing and I've been able to successfully open vms of debian(except with laptop node that's been a nightmare), but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong with containers. The IP is different in the correct way I believe. The node's IP is 192.168.1.17/24 and the container's ip is 192.168.1.18/24. I think that is right? Then I set the ram to 4gb and the storage to 32gb just to be safe. The answer is probably something silly easy but I'm lost here. I keep rewatching "how to make a container" yt videos and I'm not realizing what I'm missing.

The node is a lenovo m710q with a i3-7100t and 8gb of ram with a 256gb nvme with proxmox installed only the failiure code on start is code 1006.
