Reality Check and Career Advice

I am currently working as an Internship Engineer in a Cloud Services Center role at a Cybersecurity MNC.

But the internship is a bit long (12 months), and I relocated to Chennai for it.

I badly want to shift to a full-time role in Cybersecurity. I have good foundations in both Red Team and Blue Team environments.

But as a fresher, it is hard to apply for Red Team roles. So, currently, I am more focused on Blue Team roles.

I also got to know that even Blue Team roles are difficult to get shortlisted for as a fresher.

I have worked on TryHackMe and completed the SOC Level 1 path, including hands-on labs and SOC simulations.

I have applied to 100+ positions across different companies, but I haven't been shortlisted even once. I think this might be because of my resume.

I got my current position through a walk-in drive.

Now, I am planning to take the CompTIA Security+ certification by this November.

Can anyone suggest whether this certification can help me get shortlisted? Because, at this point, I at least need to get shortlisted in the resume screening phase so that I can get an opportunity to prove myself in the interview.

Any advice from people already working in Cybersecurity would be really helpful.
