What I use my server for (with screenshots)

Been messing with my homelab for a while now and figured I’d finally post what I actually use it for.

It originally started as basically just a Jellyfin server, but as these things usually go, it turned into a lot more lol.

Hardware:

  • Intel i5-13500
  • Intel UHD 770 iGPU for Quick Sync/transcoding
  • MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4
  • 32GB RAM
  • Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS
  • Most of everything is running in Docker
  • The case is awesome. I think it has a total of 12 HDD slots (need more money to fill them though)
  • Software (OS): Ubuntu – bring on the hate Linux nerds. I love this OS.

Storage:

  • 13TB HDD
  • 17TB HDD
  • 1TB HDD – mainly used for Immich/photos
  • 500GB SSD – Ubuntu, Docker, apps, etc.
  • I just bought a 10TB HDD that i need to install (need a pci card)

So roughly 41TB of bulk storage between the media/photo drives.

Stuff I’m running:

Jellyfin is probably the main thing. Movies, TV shows, hardware transcoding with the Intel iGPU, Cinema Mode, custom CSS, intros, Jellyseerr integration, etc.

Sonarr/Radarr handle most of the media organization and automation, with Prowlarr handling the indexers and qBittorrent doing the downloading. I also have Bazarr taking care of subtitles.

Immich is basically my self-hosted Google Photos replacement. Phone photo/video backups, facial recognition, search, albums, all that stuff. If you never heard of this then please look into it. F GOOGLE!

AdGuard Home handles DNS/ad blocking for the house.

I also run:

  • Jellyseerr
  • Prowlarr
  • qBittorrent
  • Bazarr
  • Immich
  • AdGuard Home
  • Uptime Kuma
  • Homepage
  • Navidrome
  • Kavita
  • Tracearr
  • Dispatcharr
  • Teamarr
  • ErsatzTV
  • TinyMediaManager
  • OpenSpeedTest
  • Cloudflare Tunnels
  • Tailscale

One of the bigger rabbit holes lately has been IPTV. I use Dispatcharr and Teamarr to organize channels and generate sports/event channels and EPG data. I’ve been playing around with automatically creating channels for NFL, college football, MLB, etc. and matching the best available streams to them.

I use Tailscale for remote access when I don’t want something publicly exposed, and Cloudflare Tunnels for a few things i dont want ran through my domains

Definitely not the craziest homelab on here, but it’s gotten to the point where I use this thing every single day and probably spend more time messing with the server than actually watching anything on it.

Screenshots are Jellyfin, Immich, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, AdGuard and some of the other stuff I have running.

Always looking for more stuff to self-host, so feel free to reccomend some stuff! Thank you for looking at my setup!
